Charles R. Knight New Years's Card

Wow! 2010 is over. I can’t believe the first decade of the new millennium has come and gone. It was a big one for me–got married, had my children, bought my house, and about a zillion other “firsts.” I look at my husband’s grandmother who recently turned 90+ and think about her 9 decades of life and all that she has seen come and go.

This series of pictures from Life will remind you of some of the more poignant moments of the decade.

Now on to 2011 and another whirlwind of a year I am sure.  I’m not a big resolution maker, but I really like Ann Voskamp’s practice of naming the year. You can read more about it on her blog. I’m pondering one thought that if I can wrap my head around it, I will share it in a few days.

Do you make resolutions? What are yours for the new year? Link up here by leaving a comment.

Other finds for the end of the year:

A more organized 2011: Who wouldn’t want to color with crayons in this house? This storage solution from Mom’s Crafty Space is practical and beautiful.

A more devoted 2011: I just received the devotional Face to Face: Praying the Scriptures for Intimate Worship by Kenneth Boa. It is set up to repeat each 3 months which is somehow less daunting than those 365 day devos.

A more educated 2011: Remember to join us back here on Monday for our new feature “Mondays with Miss Mason”

A more boy-friendly 2011: I discovered another site for us “MOBs”–the “M.O.B Society,” a site for mothers “Reaching the hearts of boys for the Gospel & preparing a generation of men to love the Lord.”

Wishing everyone a healthy, happy, and prosperous new year!
